Shooting Star!

I am very lucky  indeed to see a shooting star the moment I open the door to the night sky.  The shooting star came straight down at the right hand side of the HDB flats in the NE direction. I had not seen a shooting star since I was a young boy.  In the 60's, Singapore is not as developed as today, the stars can be seen clearly.  As a kid, I remember trying to count the stars and gave up as there were too many.   During that time, it was possible to see shooting stars. 

Today, it is highly unlikely as the skyline is full of buildings and city lights. To see the stars, I have to use a pair of binoculars. There are two bright stars in the east and I took the photo of the brighter star using my iPhone below.
