JB again on 22nd Nov

We decided to drive up to JB on our own.  I put on Google and found that Google Map keeps sending us around.  I should have read the signs on the road instead.  We keep seeing the custom immigration but Google Map keep directing us away.  It is immensely frustrating to be so near yet so far especially when we can see the queues but unable to join since we are on the different direction.

My wife decided to download Waze and it is so much better.  To get over to JB, the wait is almost 2 hours.  Once we crossed the borders, it was a breeze.  I think due to the delay in the causeway, it may be better to spend more time there instead of a day trip.  The day trip insurance is $16 per person.  Toll charges is RM22 and S$2.50.  So it costs about $42 just to get over there.

We bought durians. 3 pieces for RM100.  It may be slightly cheaper but not much.  My wife did her hair and price there is a lot more competitive.  We had lunch at Meng Meng.  The food is very good and great value for fish dish and roast meat.  We also have tea i.e. coconut tarts and coffee at Nam Heong.  It is quite a nice experience.

The Joy of Babysitting

I have mentioned about my granddaughter.  She is growing up fast!  Yesterday, she sat on a baby chair that the father i.e. my son bought and assembled from China!  Ikea will not have to be more competitive.

Today, my granddaughter went out together with her daddy mummy to meet friends.  She is now sitting on a baby chair in a resturant.  She is strong enough to sit on a baby chair without fussiness.  Everyday is a joy to see her progress in her development.

For us, the most important development was to be able to sleep through the night.  She did that 2 months ago.  Yes, our baby girl is sleeping between grandpa and grandma for 5 nights a week.

When she wakes up, she will be smiling and kicking her legs happily.  The joy to see her so happy is indescribable.
