Acts of Kindness

News are rarely good. Recent examples are the havoc rain has cause us and our neighbour, Johore. The good news is there is an exception. Toronto Star, the premier newspaper in Toronto has a column on Acts of Kindess. I am a regular visitor and it warms my heart. I know the place, the environment, the culture and the way of life. So I really appreciates the heartwarming anecdotes. I went through a difficult initiation into life in Canada myself. In the long cold and dark winters, it is like drinking hot chocolate(milo in Singapore context). The warm cup will warm the hands that cuddles it and the drink will warms you inside as it travel down. Then the warm will slowly spreads throughout your body.

The recent Straits Times article of a taxi-driver being offered help by his employer is really touching too. These stories brightened up my spirits as it mean that there are caring employers out there too.
