I was up early at 6:30am. B1 was up early to run and have breakfast with his friend, BW. I have to wait for the Queen Bee to wake up so that we can have our family meal. We decided to go to Suntec City. It is completely revamped, or at least part of it. The changeover is done in phases. So there are sales for stores vacating for the renovation.
Lunch was at Tony Romas. My craving was triggered by Sunday Times feature on American food and BBQ meats. Tony Romas has not lot its touch. The meat is at "falls off the bones" level tenderness. The onion loaf is ok. I prefer Outback's. The potatoes skins are excellent. Sinfully good! My 3 boys loved the giant cookie in iron pan with a huge ball of ice cream drizzled with chocolate sauce. We loaded enough cholesterol and calories in one meal for a week. After lunch, we shop for drinks as B1 has his classmates over for dinner.
B3 bought potatoes as he is going for his class outing tomorrow at East Coast. It is potluck and he is contributing bubble tea and mashed potatoes, his signature dishes. He is cooking the "bubbles" as we speak. The bubbles are tapoica flour in dropped in boiling water.
B1's classmates are still around talking at the long dinner table. They brought their own food to cook. It is nice they gather together just before the year ends. The girls are graduating in 6 months and the boys just finished one semester of school.
I am feeling drowsy and sleepy and will go to bed early.
