Seoul Cold

Temperature drops to zero during the day time today. It is incredibly cold for someone like me whose blood has not thicken for cold weather. Everyone is wearing thick coat and women wearing skirts also wore heavy leggings. It is nice to look out the window and feel warm and safe from the wintry elements. I also realise the amount of energy used to manufacture all the winter clothings and heat to warm the buildings, the transportation systems, everything to sustain a comfortable living in a fairly hostile natural environment. What will happen if energy cost escalates? Will people freeze in winter? Will there be a migration to warm climes? How will commence look like when it is costly to maintain the present lifestyles in long cold and dark winter?
