Christmas!

Christmas cheers and shopping always go together. Orchard Road is all dressed up and bathed in decorative lights. The malls are decorated with giant Christmas Tree - Takashimaya and huge green ribbons spirals - Heeren. Centrepoint seems a little muted, maybe because there is no way to display any finery since the walkway opposite is under contruction.

People are all out in force. Pedestrian traffic come to a crawl due to heavy traffic both ways. Interesting characters start to show up when it get later in the night. My eldest son noticed a lot more pregnant women on the street. I guess rat year will be good for babies. I bet those in the baby business will get a bumper year next year and the year after.
