I wonder about organisational change and change management. Change is the only constant feature in organisations today. Ability to cope with change is one skill all of us must have, even entreprenuers as the world is changing fast. I attended a coach session where the coach equates ability to cope with change with bouyancy in canoeing in fast moving river. The key is to stay afloat in the changing conditions of the water. It is not responding or resisting to the changes. Nor is it about changing with the changes. Bouyancy is keeping afloat and staying up and bouncing along turbulent water. Values must be steady as change occur.
So in many ways, some things change and some stay the same. The sameness anchor us and keep us sane. While we respond to change by changing our habits, attitudes or behaviours.
