How to Succeed at Leading

Is the course I attended at SIM. Today is day 1. It is Louis Allen Workshop. This course is quite basic and advocate the traditional management techniques. As the instructor Dr. Tan Jing Hee puts it, the test of a classic is its enduring qualities. He also give us some useful tools like the Herrmann Whole Brain Exercise. This course is 4 days, a little longer than the usual 2 or 3 days seminars.

Its good to study and learn new stuff. Lucky you. I miss school. Nevertheless, I decide to self-study and apply what I learnt to my work. I do hope one day my company will sponser me for a Master course. I don't think I pay for the hefty fees.

I have to do 40 hours training a year. Yes, I do read a lot. Sometimes, I think I should use the fact I read a lot as a replacement for training. However since I am the person setting this rule. It is better I walk the talk.

I'm so envious. Your company sponser courses for the 40 hrs training? I do hope my company provide this 40 hrs training too. You can learn new things and meet new people.
