Open Heart Operation Over

My brother has a quadruple bypass and valve repair. His operation is over and in CTSICU in Singapore General Hospital. He is sedated as he is still on ventilator. His heart rate is stablising at 99 bpm. His blood pressure is at 120/64 which is excellent. Oxygen saturation is now at 100% which is a huge improvement compared to pre-open-heart surgery of about 90%. Central Venous Pressure is between negative 14 to negative 20mmHg. I would say his surgery is successful. However, he is a high risk patient. He has history of stroke and therefore the next 24 hours is quite crucial for him, the doctor advise us. We will know when he regain conciousness.

I have been praying for him the surgery to go smoothly. He is on the table longer than usual as he two major ops in one session. He is lucky the head of dept, Kenny Sin operated on him.

For now, we can only wait and see and pray for the best outcome.
