It is a quiet Monday. No school as all the school teachers were up all night on Saturday to count votes. Tomorrow is Hari Raya Puasa. No Muslim food stalls will be open.
The pressure to build flats and HDB accelerated plans to build more flats has taken away a lot of the flat lands that citizens used to enjoys pastimes like flying kites and model airplanes. It is very sad. We are all work and no play in the near future as all our playgrounds have become blocks of flats.
My French neighbour just returned from his summer holidays in France. He says Frenchs are not big into shopping like Singaporeans. They like history and historical buildings. They enjoys the atmosphere of different country. They do not travel to do shopping.
