We were in Kinokuniya this morning and check out the name of the owl in the books on local birds. There were only two owls listed. The owl we saved was the Brown Hawk Owl. It is usually heard rather than seen. We are very fortunate indeed.
God bless this brown hawk owl. It is very adorable when it is all puffed up rather than wet and bedraggled. The eyes are yellow with huge dilated pupils.
