Punggol New Town is developing rapidly. 3 condomiums under contruction in Punggol Central. Many new HDB flats just completed and more on the way. It is going to be a huge town. I foresee bad traffic in future in both CTE and TPE. That is bad as I use both highways a lot especially CTE to get to town.
The lane increase in CTE from 3 each way to 4 may not be enough capacity to cope with the increased in volume. Many foreigners or not born locally are occupying the flats. As I cycled, I can see mainland Chinese families and others who looked foreign. Singaporeans will be a minority in their own country. Our way of life will change forever.
