My colleague based in Japan informed me of the sad news his step-father passed away yesterday after a long fight with lung cancer in Osaka. He has lead a good and happy life. I am very sorry for his widow, my colleague's mother. She will now be alone at home. Her life companion is gone. I have met her once in Australia. She is a very sweet lady and learned English so that she can communicate with the rest of us. I hope she stay strong.
At the same time his step-daughter is in Yokohama giving birth to a baby. Such is the cycle of life. Old life moved on and new life come in.
