Build Up

I am looking out of my windows. I realise my views are getting obstructed by new flats built in SengKang. When I first moved in July 2004, only 5 blocks of orange and yellow HDB flats are in clear view. Today, 3 more blocks are up, although not completed yet has reduced my view of the white clouds and blue sky. My million dollar view is worth less and less. I always enjoys the paranormic views, something rare in Singapore. Growing up in a flat, city living makes us less connected to nature. The favorite pastime is shopping. The aircond makes it comfortable compared to walking in Botanic Garden.
The sky view I enjoyed in the past few years in my current home is slowly encroached by expansion of the city. Sigh!
